Account Lead & Tax Professional - 13 month contract

Position Type: 13-month maternity leave coverage (0.75 FTE), fully remote

Compensation: $40-45/hour + benefits

Key Responsibilities

Manage portfolio of client accounts with full-cycle bookkeeping
Prepare business (T2125, T5013) and individual (T1) tax returns
Provide strategic financial advisory and client relationship management
Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 5 years in bookkeeping and tax
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
Certifications: CPA or CPB strongly preferred
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Sage50, tax software experience, strong GAAP knowledge
